  • 常温常压下状态:三氧化硫又称硫酸酐,硫的高价氧化物,硫酸工业的产品之一。常压和室温下为无色液体,沸点44.8℃。在大气中强烈发烟,形成难以沉降的硫酸雾。与水发生异常剧烈的反应,生成硫酸,并伴有酸雾,同时释出大量热。三氧化硫溶解于 100%硫酸中生成发烟硫酸。固态三氧化硫有熔点分别为16.86℃、30.4℃与 62.2℃的三种形态,后两者为高分子量的三氧化硫聚合物,前者则为单分子体与三聚体的混合物。降低温度、存在微量水或硫酸时能促进液态三氧化硫的聚合。当熔化聚合态三氧化硫时,因在熔化前已产生较高蒸气压,有可能发生爆炸。
