- ⑴. 也称异丁基锂，无色或微黄色透明液体。
- ⑵. 锂化剂。异戊二烯、丁二烯的聚合。制备氢化锂、四氢呋喃、苄基锂化合物。
- ⑶. 相对于正丁基锂而言，异丁基锂的碱性更强，金属化活性更高，亲核性更差。因此，对于正丁基锂无法作用的弱酸性底物的锂化反应如制备芳基、乙烯基、和烯丙基锂试剂时、以及在需要弱亲核性锂化试剂时，异丁基锂是不错的选择。
