方法一:由癸二醇与溴化氢反应而得。将癸二醇加热到95-100℃，搅拌下通入干燥的溴化氢气体。当混合物中溴化氢饱和后，再将温度升到135℃，慢慢通入溴化氢。冷却，分去水层得粗产物。用水洗，再用10%碳酸钠溶液洗，除去所有的酸后进行减压蒸馏，收集139-142℃（0.266kPa）馏分而得成品。
溶于乙醇，稍溶于冷乙醇，不溶于水。易潮解。
