  • 预防尿结石药物:柠檬酸钾是目前最常用预防结石的药物,研究发现尿中的酸碱值和柠檬酸值与尿路结石的形成有非常密切的关系。在酸性尿液(pH<5.5)中,尿酸的溶解度极低,容易造成尿酸结石;而在碱性尿液中(pH>7),则极易形成磷酸钙或磷酸镁结石。63%的尿路结石病人尿中柠檬酸低于正常值,而柠檬酸钾可提供大量的柠檬酸从而提升尿中的pH值,故对于尿酸结石,低柠檬酸钙结石症和肾小管中毒症引起的钙结石症有非常显著的治疗效果。但这样会造成尿中的钾离子升高和氨离子的降低,这是由于柠檬酸钾不但补充了柠檬酸,而且也补充了钾的缘故。由于钾在体内的代谢很快,血中钾含量并无变化,所以对身体影响不大。从有尿酸结石病人每日的总尿量、草酸、磷酸盐、钠、镁、硫酸盐和尿酸等方面的检测发现,也并不受服用柠檬酸钾影响。
