• 用途三:二丙酮醇是由丙酮制造亚异丙基丙酮、甲基异丁基酮、甲基异丁基甲醇及己二醇、佛尔酮、异佛尔酮过程中的中间体二丙酮醇可用以制取金属清洁剂、木材防腐剂、照相软片和药物的防腐剂、抗冻剂、液压油溶剂、萃取剂和纤维整理剂等。二丙酮醇广泛用作静电喷漆、赛璐珞、硝化纤维、脂肪、油脂、蜡和树脂等的溶剂。
• 用途一:用作高沸点溶剂、喷漆稀释剂、木材着色剂、除锈剂及染料等的原料
• 防护措施:低毒，对皮肤的刺激性小。长期反复接触可造成皮炎，或引起慢性中毒。在碱性溶液中容易生成丙酮，故实际上几乎无毒。在动物试验中，毒性与丙酮相似，浓溶液能引起肝、肾障碍，贫血，并有麻醉作用。大鼠经口LD50为4000mg/kg。严禁吞服。车间空气中最高容许浓度（美国）240mg/m3。生产设备应密闭，操作人员应穿戴防护用具。
