Appearance 左旋的为无色针状结晶。熔点42-43℃,沸点216℃,比旋光度-51°-45°,闪点93℃,相对密度0.8810,溶于乙醇,与油类互溶。具有凉的、清鲜的、愉快的薄荷特征香气,带甜的尖刺气。给人以冷的感觉,香气透发,但不够持久。口味亦是鲜清甜的凉味。

  • 香精香料:薄荷脑又名薄荷醇、薄荷冰,是一种环状萜烯醇类香精香料,外观呈无色针状或梭柱状结晶或白色结晶性粉末。有薄荷的特殊香气,味初灼热后清凉,乙醇溶液显中性反应,极易溶解于乙醇、氯仿、石油醚、乙醚、液状石蜡或挥发油中,在水中极微溶解。分子结构中有三个不对称碳原子,所以它有四种立体异构体,它们的香气强度和类型以及清凉感也是不同的。常见的有天然薄荷脑和合成薄荷脑两种。天然薄荷脑是由薄荷油冷冻结晶分离精制而得一种饱和的环状醇,旋光度是左旋的; 合成薄荷脑是由柠檬桉油作原料。其主要成分香茅醛闭环得异胡薄荷醇,再加氢而得,或由m-甲酚合成百里香酚,再催化氢化得到四种薄荷脑异构体混合物,经精密减压分馏,可得到精制的合成薄荷脑,是无旋光性的消旋体。有杀菌和防腐作用,可用作牙膏、香水、饮料、糖果的赋香剂。医药上用于制清凉油、止痛药、嗽口剂等。 主要应用如下: 1.薄荷脑可作用于皮肤感觉神经末梢,使皮肤表面产生清凉感觉,达到止痒的目的。外用涂于患处可以用于治疗荨麻疹、痒疹、痱子、隐疹、神经性皮炎、皮肤瘙痒症等。 2.用于头痛、鼻塞、咽喉肿痛。本品轻扬升浮,芳香通窍,功善散上焦风热,可清头目、利咽喉。

  • DL-Menthol triggers cold-sensitive TRPM8 receptors in the skin neurons in vitro. The (-)-Menthol form exists naturally in nature, primarily found in fruit extracts or spearmint extracts. This racemic mixture could theoretically be created by the hydrogenation of the monoterpene pulegone.

  • 检测方法:(1)化学定性 ①取本品1g,加硫酸20mL使溶解,即显橙红色,24h后析出无薄荷脑香气的无色油层(与麝香草酚的区别)。 ②取本品50mg,加冰乙酸1mL使溶解,加硫酸6滴与硝酸1滴的冷混合液,仅显淡黄色(与麝香草酚的区别)。 (2)薄层色谱:取薄荷脑适量溶于无水乙醇中,使成每1mL含薄荷脑6mg的溶液供点样用。薄层板:硅胶G手工制板,晾干,105℃活化1小时备用。展开剂A:正己烷-乙酸乙酯-苯(43:4.5:4);展开剂B:石油醚-乙酸乙酯-氯仿(25:2.5:5.5)。显色剂:5%香草醛乙醇液-浓硫酸(100:6)。显色:105℃加热6~10min,显示圆形的蓝色斑点。 (3)物理常数测定:熔点:为42℃~44℃。比旋度:取本品精密称定,加乙醇制成每1mL中含0.1g的溶液,依法测定,比旋度为-49°~-50°。 (4)不挥发物:取本品2g,置称定重量的蒸发皿中,在水浴上加热,使缓缓挥散后,在105℃干燥至恒重,遗留残渣不得过1mg。
